Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 August 2026

The short version: book a session, Seb emails you to arrange payment, and you turn up. Cancel with 24 hours' notice and you pay nothing. Cancel later than that and half the fee applies. If Seb ever cancels, you get a full refund or a free reschedule.

Who these terms are between

These terms are between you (the person making the booking) and Seb Fenton Tutoring, a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom. By making a booking you accept them.

If the student is under 18, the booking must be made by a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on the student's behalf.

Sessions

Sessions are one-to-one and delivered online over Zoom or Google Meet. A joining link is emailed before the session. You will need a device with a camera, a microphone and a working internet connection.

Sessions are 30 or 60 minutes as selected at booking. All times shown on this site are UK time (Europe/London).

Tutoring is teaching support. No particular exam grade or outcome is promised or guaranteed.

Booking and payment

A slot is held for you as soon as the booking is confirmed. No payment is taken through this website. When you book you tell us how you would prefer to pay — bank transfer, PayPal, card, or something else — and we email you to arrange it directly, normally within one working day.

Please pay within 24 hours of us contacting you. If payment has not arrived by then, we may release the slot to someone else and cancel the booking. We will always email you before doing so.

Prices are shown on the Subjects & Pricing page and are in pounds sterling. Discounted prepaid blocks of sessions are arranged directly with Seb and are not bookable online.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancelling with 24 hours' notice or more: no charge. Any payment already made is refunded in full, or credited against a future session if you prefer.

Cancelling with less than 24 hours' notice: 50% of the session fee applies, because the slot usually cannot be filled at short notice.

If Seb cancels or has to rearrange: you are offered a free reschedule or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Not turning up: if the student does not join within 15 minutes of the start time and there has been no contact, the session is treated as a late cancellation.

Refunds are returned by the method you paid with, normally within five working days.

What we each expect

Seb will turn up on time, prepared, and will teach to the exam board and level you booked. If he needs to rearrange he will give as much notice as he can.

You agree to provide accurate booking details, to join sessions on time, and to treat sessions respectfully. Sessions may be ended without refund in cases of abusive behaviour.

Sessions must not be recorded by either party without the other's agreement in advance.

Materials

Worksheets, diagnostic tests and notes provided as part of tutoring are for the student's personal use. Please do not redistribute or resell them.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, liability in connection with a session is limited to the amount paid for that session.

Occasionally a session may be disrupted by circumstances outside reasonable control, such as an internet or platform outage. Where that happens the session will be rescheduled at no extra cost.

Your data

How your personal data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.

Please note: these terms are a drafted starting point, not certified legal advice. Have them reviewed by a solicitor or a service such as Rocket Lawyer before relying on them — particularly the cancellation, liability and under-18 sections.
